Hi,
We published a Chrome/Chromium extension to make it easier to find mirrors for BBC and BBC News Russian.
By clicking on the extension icon, a mirror to the BBC website is fetched, then the user is redirected to the mirror. The extension also sets persistent re-direction rules across sessions. In subsequent sessions, the user has to only type “bbc.com” or “bbcrussian.com” or " Главная - BBC News Русская служба " and they will be re-directed automatically (without waiting for the mirror to be fetched again).
The extension itself is a re-direction mechanism and it relies on mirrors provided by Reporters Without Borders as part of their “Collateral Freedom” project.
We will be rolling it out soon to other browsers
